Our 15th Annual Mutt Strut presented by Dearborn Family Pet Care has gone virtual! We hope you will join us virtually on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at a safe and socially distant location of your choice.
With the challenges of holding an in-person event due to local restrictions in place and the concern for the health and safety of our participants, we have made the difficult decision to make the 2020 Mutt Strut a virtual event. While we understand that it is not the same as gathering with other pet lovers for a day out with your dog(s), we hope you will still participate and most importantly fundraise to help the animals at FAMD. We aim to make this a fun event that you can participate in from the safety of your home, and to raise the much needed funds to support the animals and the mission of FAMD.
While we truly hoped we could hold this event in person, the health and safety of our community, staff, volunteers and animals always comes first. We hope you will join us this year in our first ever virtual Mutt Strut – to raise funds that are needed now more than ever – to support the over 2,400 animals we care for each year. With donations down due to COVID-19 and our main fundraisers having to be postponed or modified, your participation in Mutt Strut is more critical then ever.
August 3, 2020 will kick off the first of our #MuttStrutMondays, leading up to event week. We will share more info about the event, different ways you can participate, feature our wonderful sponsors and vendors, hear from staff and much more on our Facebook page! You can begin by signing up to participate, either by creating a team or participating as an individual. The registration fee is $25 until August 15, and includes an official 2020 Mutt Strut t-shirt. After August 15, the fee will increase to $35. Once you have registered and created & personalized your fundraising page, we encourage you to share it with friends, family and co-workers to begin collecting donations. There will be prizes for the top fundraising team and individuals!
