Max is approx. 10 years old, has been in our home for 8 years. Cattle Dog/Pit mix. We love him very much but are no longer able to keep him in the presence of a newborn baby. Please no other dogs in the home, no small children, no cats. Needs a calm and controlled environment – he is a huge people lover!

Fenced in backyard/property is important. Loves to play frisbee, chuck-it and swim (pond/lake/pool would be amazing). Max knows a host of commands and tricks – he’s a very clever boy! He can be leash reactive so just need adopters to be ready and alert for walks, know how to curb and misdirect his behaviors/triggers before they happen.

He has been a city dog, but having gone up to our family’s property and on other outdoor adventures, he really does better in more open spaces – large fenced yard environment – room to run and chase toys and be himself. Max is such a goofy and lovable boy with a huge personality – loves to cuddle and be the star of the show. Hoping we can find someone to give him a happy home to spend the rest of his days!

We are in Detroit – but willing to travel for the right adopter.
