It truly breaks my heart to write this, but I’m reaching out in hopes of finding a loving new home for my sweet boy, Jackson. He’s a 1-year-old American Pitbull mix who has been a part of my life since he was just 4 months old, adopted from DAC.
Jackson is an incredibly affectionate, playful, and spirited pup. He’s neutered, microchipped, crate-trained, and fully potty trained. He loves his stuffed toys (though he’s a big chewer!), enjoys cuddles, and has so much love to give. He’s great with both dogs and cats—although sometimes he doesn’t realize how big he is, which can be a little intimidating to smaller animals. He’s also very social and never misses a chance to say hello to people with a wagging tail and open heart.
This decision has been one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make. Due to changes in my life, I can no longer provide the consistency, attention, and care that Jackson deserves. He needs stability and a family that will cherish him as one of their own. Returning him to the shelter would be my last resort, but I know it wouldn’t give him the individual love and connection he thrives on.
Please, if you or someone you know could offer Jackson a forever home—or even just help spread the word—it would mean the world to both of us. I’m hoping to find him a new place very soon, and your support during this time means everything.
With love and gratitude,
Jerrie
