Shade is a 6 year old German Shepherd mix who absolutely loves people and will do just about anything for a treat. She enjoys lazy days on the couch, long walks where she can leisurely sniff, and is always open to learning a new trick.

She is best suited to a home with no cats and 0-1 other dogs. She has skin and allergy issues (she is on daily medication), takes daily anxiety medication, and has some reactivity on the leash. Though she has her struggles, she is extremely well-behaved, has never demonstrated any destructive behaviors, and is overall a smart and adaptable girl. Her nails are easily cut at home, she is crate-trained, and she thrives with daily enrichment and affection.

I’m open to rehoming her temporarily or permanently. I recently went through a divorce and all the curve balls life have thrown at me have made it difficult to adapt to the changes and properly care for my sweet girl as well. My goal is to find the best solution for both of us, and I am open to whatever that may look like. In either case, I can provide food, medication (including heartworm and flea), and other supplies for at least 2-3 months.
