#GivingTuesdayis a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

At Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit, we believe in this spirit. We also believe in the connection between people and pets. We’re working to spread education and awareness for animals in need throughout the com­munity.

We have animals that come to us from all different backgrounds. Some are found injured, while some are saved from a neglected or dangerous home. No matter how they got here, they all need food, medical treatments and most importantly love. At FAMD, we give them a second chance by being their safe haven until we can unite them with their forever home.

Our love for animals keeps us going, but we really need your help. Hundreds of lost and abandoned dogs and cats depend on us, and these tough times have greatly affected our organization. By making a donation to FAMD, you will not only be changing our animals’ worlds, but ours too.

Facebook:
For #GivingTuesday, Facebook is matching $8 million in donations. At 8am ET November 30, 2021 the match will go live. To help reach more organizations, Facebook has changed how they will be matching do­nations this year. They will match 100% of donations up to $2M USO and then 10% of donations up to $8M USO. That means the best chance for your donation to be fully matched is by donating right at 8am. You can do so here.
