Wildlife Tips

While baby wild animals may seem like they need our help, there is no need to rescue them unless they are truly orphaned or injured. The tips below can help you decide whether or not you should take action. If you see any of these signs, please find help for the animal. If you are unsure, you can call your local animal rescue group who can provide additional advice. For more tips on orphaned or injured wildlife, you can visit the Michigan DNR website here or the Humane Society’s website here

  • A bird is featherless or nearly featherless and on the ground.
