We are so grateful to everyone who joined us, supported our mission, visited our vendors, enjoyed the music, participated in the activities, and helped make this year’s PAWFEST our biggest and most family-friendly event yet.

PAWFEST 2026 brought together pets, people, vendors, music, food, family activities, and so much community support for one unforgettable day.
This year, we were joined by approximately 1,500 attendees, making it our largest PAWFEST yet. With more than 100 vendors brought together in partnership with Sundays at the Market, live entertainment, adoptable animals, family-friendly activities, and plenty of wagging tails, PAWFEST truly became a festival day for the whole family.
We are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and support the more than 2,500 animals cared for by Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit each year.

HotRod D-Luxx is a party band from Southeast Michigan. They play classic rock, blues and rockin’ country. Band members are seasoned musicians, each having decades of experience.

Martinez is a Detroit-area vocalist and multi-instrumentalist delivering high-energy live performances built around Top 40 favorites, dance hits, classic rock, Motown grooves, and select original material.

A six-piece band, initially comprised of former Detroit-area Christian band “Close Enough,” musicians Adam Tilley, Paul “Chip” Mohr, Gary Cash II and JP Duncan, founded and formed the “Rocking Boomers” classic rock jam band in 2023. The band was later joined by Rudy Michele and vocalists Jen Taylor and Love Moorer. They are unified in their dedication to charitable events and delivering the best musical experience for their audiences.

“Space the final frontier.” Warp Factor 5 plays ’80s music and dresses up in Star Trek uniforms. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise, our mission to rock out to new life forms and new civilizations. To boldly jam where no one has jammed before. The crew: Captain Anne Gueta on Vocals, LT Gary Cash on guitar, LT Commander Rudy Michele on guitar, Ensign Ernie Blackburn on bass, Admiral Chip Mohr on Drums

The Dabapalooza Band was formed in 2013, with core members Chip Kipps (guitar), John Burhop (bass), and Daba Parker on vocals, as a Rod Stewart tribute band. They soon started adding other music and members, with Tom Mayer on drums, and Dearborn High classmates of Parkers’ class of 1975, Harv Irla on guitar, and Paul Schmitt on keyboards. They play an old school brand of rock.

Four-piece, female-fronted “Heart” heavy rock band. Influences are Heart, Pat Benatar, Rush, Boston, and good old fashioned Rock and Roll that makes people want to move!
Connie Paron, Lead Vocals
Rod Socull, Lead Guitar
Dave Salyor, Drums
Jimmy Berry, Bass Guitar

Steve Acho is a Detroit-based singer-songwriter-pianist. He honed his stage skills performing standup comedy starting at the age of eight, and continued through high school. A self-taught singer and piano player, Steve learned to play songs he loved, and eventually songs he wrote, purely by ear. Steve has been featured performing the national anthem several times before Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings games. He has shared the stage with Eddie Money, Mitch Ryder, 2014 Top 2 American Idol Finalist Jena Irene, and many others.
We would love to connect with businesses, sponsors, vendors, and community partners who want to make a difference for the animals in our care.
