Seeking forever home for our two-year-old female cat. Fixed, UTD on vaccines, recently had bloodwork done.

Speckle is your typical “tortie” – fun, playful, and a bit sassy. She enjoys attention and being pet, but does not like to be picked up and will let you know you’ve crossed a boundary. She is tolerant of respectful school-age children and LOVES strangers. She will greet everyone who comes into your home and wants to be involved in your day-to-day activities.

I am looking to rehome her due to intolerance of her cat housemates. Unfortunately, my family lost our 13-year-old cat to cancer last fall, who Speckle was closely bonded with. Since then, she’s become increasingly aggressive with our other cats (even her brother, who we found her with at 12 weeks old). It has escalated to wounds that required veterinary attention, so she is currently quarantined in our sun room to keep everyone safe. We have tried everything – increased playtime, changing up routines, separation and re-introduction, medication – but at this point believe she’s best suited for a single-cat household.

I can provide her vet records, a gallon bag food for easy transition to a new kibble, a carrier and a scratching post. Only looking for indoor-only homes that will not declaw.
I am in contact with multiple rescues, but it is nearly impossible to find shelter space or foster homes that do not already have cats. I am located in West Dearborn.
